This letter is a reply to those of you who have tried to contact ANS for classes. I apologize for the lack of response to the calls and emails. Mr. Jeffery Brant, who is in charge of granting ANS course approval has decided to cancel our certification. ANS has had this approval for 28 years. We have tried for the past year to find valid reasons for why our courses have not been approved. If this is an inconvenience or hinders your work, please send an email to Jeffery.r.brandt@USCG.mil let him know Alaska needs ANS for people and businesses to work. we will hold classes as soon as the USCG will review and re-approve our classes.

Captain John W. Johnson is the director and one of the instructors for the school. He has been in the maritime industry since 1966 as a Commercial Fisherman and Merchant Mariner. Capt. Johnson currently holds a USGC License as Master, Oceans, 1600 GT. This school was founded by Capt. Johnson in 1996. All of our instructors hold a Coast Guard Masters License, and they all have a wide variety of experience in the maritime field. We can get approval by the Coast Guard to hold classes in Cities and Villages anywhere in Alaska and anywhere in the United States.
